چکیده

This paper deals with the parameter estimation problem of the Single-Input-SingleOutput (SISO) switched Hammerstein system. Suppose that the switching law is arbitrary but can be observed online. All subsystems are parameterized and the Recursive Least Squares (RLS) algorithm is applied to estimate their parameters. To overcome the difficulty caused by coupling of data from different subsystems, the concept intrinsic switch is introduced. Two cases are considered: i) The input is taken to be a sequence of independent identically distributed (i.i.d.) random variables when identification is the only purpose; ii) A diminishingly excited signal is superimposed on the control when the adaptive control law is given. The strong consistency of the estimates in both cases is established and a simulation example is given to verify the theoretical analysis.

Parameter Identification of Hammerstein Systems with Asymmetric Dead–zones

The paper deals with the parameter identification of Hammerstein systems having piecewise-linear nonlinearities with asymmetric dead-zones. A new form of nonlinearity representation provides a special form of Hammerstein model. Parameter estimation is carried out iteratively with measured input and output data records and estimated internal variables. To demonstrate the feasibility of the ident...

Multi-innovation parameter estimation for Hammerstein MIMO output-error systems based on the key-term separation ?

This paper uses the key-term separation principle and develops a multi-innovation stochastic gradient algorithm for Hammerstein MIMO output error systems. The basic idea is to decompose a Hammerstein MIMO system into two subsystems and to identify the parameters of each subsystem interactively. The parameter estimation accuracy can be improved with the innovation length increasing. The simulati...

Recursive parameter identification of Hammerstein-Wiener systems with measurement noise

A recursive algorithm is proposed in this paper to identify Hammerstein–Wiener systems with heteroscedastic measurement noise. Based on the parameterization model of Hammerstein–Wiener systems, the algorithm is derived by minimizing the expectation of the sum of squared parameter estimation errors. By replacing the immeasurable internal variables with their estimations, the need for the commonl...

Estimation of Generalised Hammerstein-Wiener Systems ?

This paper examines the use of a so-called “generalised Hammerstein–Wiener” model structure that is formed as the concatenation of an arbitrary number of Hammerstein systems. The latter are taken here to be memoryless non-linearities followed by linear time invariant dynamics. Hammerstein, Wiener, Hammerstein–Wiener and Wiener–Hammerstein models are all special cases of this structure. The para...
